Flash is the standard and most common way of adding animation to your website. A flash website means that it has been created with special software applications such as Adobe Flash or Swish Max. It also means that there are almost no limitations to looks and functionality. Quad Web Design recommends limited amounts of flash to be included into XHTML websites.

There are circumstances that a flash website will be a better choice, i.e. if you have a specific need such as a big budget promotional tool or an online application. We recommend using flash to add WOW factor to your website, clever animations to display information makes the user experience that much nicer and more memorable.
